Sielen Diva

Sielen Diva is a 7-bedroom modern villa featuring many open spaces, large en-suite bedrooms with sea view and a fun gamesroom. The large grounds offer many quiet and private spots to enjoy the sunshine and the infinity pool is ideal for a languid float or an energetic swim. Located in the quiet town of Thalpe, Sielen Diva is only 15 minute drive from Galle Fort.

LIVING SPACES

The main highlights of the villa are the infinity pool, the 180° unobstructed view over the Indian Ocean and the large grounds where guests will enhoy relaxing mpments. The open-air living area features a large dining area with a dining table seating 14 pax. Outdoor dining can also be set-up by the lawn to enjoy a tasty BBQ prepared by the in-villa highly trained staff.

The villa has been personally decorated by the owners who handpicked the pieces under the supervision of their french designer friend. They wanted to create the perfect family holiday haven for themselves and are now happy to welcome guests who will create their own cherishable memories.

Located on the lawn, the beachtdeck overlooks the beach. Guests who choose to spend time there will be able to have breakfast, lunch/ snacks, evening drinks whilst watching the many seabirds residing here or the fishermen on stilts.

“Baba’s Den” is the villa's game room and is named after the family’s youngest daughter. It is equipped with a foosball table, a pool table, a darts board, poker set, television, DVD player and numerous books, DVDs and board games. There is a badminton net just outside the game room for matches on the grass.

The nearly 1000 square foot rooftop terrace has seating for guests to enjoy a meal or watch the sunset.

BEDROOMS

Sielen Diva consists of seven berooms that vary in size and elevations on the property. The berooms have been decorated in a warm yet contemporary style with all rooms featuring unique art pieces personally sourced by the family. In tribute to Sri Lanka's abundance of wildlife the villa's seven bedrooms have been named after Sri Lankan animals.

Yanai Suite (54 sq.mt)
Yanai is a large corner bedroom on the first floor. The room’s floor to ceiling windows have unimpeded views of the Indian Ocean. There are two sitting areas on either side of  the room. The bathroom has a rain shower and a free standing bathtub.

Mayil (30 sq.mt)
Mayil is one of the two middle bedrooms on the first floor. The room’s floor to ceiling windows have unimpeded views of the Indian Ocean. The bathroom has a rain shower and a free standing bathtub.

Musikaya (30 sq.mt)
Musikaya is one of the two middle bedrooms on the first floor. The room’s floor to ceiling windows have unimpeded views of the Indian Ocean. The bathroom has a rain shower and a free standing bathtub.

Mora (43 sq.mt)
Mora is a large bedroom on the corner of the first floor and located next to the staircase. The room’s floor to ceiling windows have unimpeded views of the Indian Ocean. The bathroom has a rain shower and a free standing bathtub. The bathroom has views of the Indian Ocean and the coastline to the right of the villa.

Monara (25 sq.mt)
Monara is located on the ground floor of the villa and enjoys direct access to the poolside. Its floor to ceiling windows look out to the deck area. The room has a king-sized bed. The bathroom has a rain shower. This is the only room in the villa without a bathtub. The room has a private outdoor seating area.

Eli Kunji Suite (52 sq.mt)
Eli Kunji is one of the two garden and beach level suites. The room has a king-sized bed, a separate seating area and a dressing area. The bathroom has a rain shower, free  standing bathtub and ‘his and hers’ sinks. The suite has direct access to the garden and the beach. The room is ideal for families with young children or guests who want a lot of space.

STAFF

The staff comprises a manager, a guest relations officer, chefs, butlers, houseboys, gardeners and security guards, all of whom are on hand to ensure a personalised and enjoyable stay. Many of the staff at Sielen Diva hail from the Galle area itself and all are Sri Lankan. The Sielen Diva staff are proud of their beautiful island and are happy to provide an insider view of the country.

Sielen Diva staff will be happy to assist in organising sightseeing trips and providing recommendations on local places of interest.

DINING

The owners believe that one of the hallmarks of a good holiday is delicious food. Sielen Diva chefs customise menus having received guest preferences prior to their arrival. This is to ensure the food on offer is to their taste. It is hoped that guests will sample local cuisine as its use of specific herbs and spices and its labor intensive recipes mean that authentic Sri Lankan cuisine is not easily found outside the country. All dishes, regardless of origin are prepared using the freshest local products.

The Chefs will be on call from 6:30 am to 10:30 pm (no outside food is to be brought onto the premises)
