Relax in royal style under the dramatic peaked roof of the plush master bedroom suite. Situated in a poolside pavilion, this grand bedroom is furnished with a king-sized bed, has a double soaker tub in its ensuite bathroom, and views galore. The three king-bedded guest bedrooms are smaller but no less stylish with their sea-view balconies and private bathrooms.

Nai Thon is just nine kilometres from Phuket Airport, yet it retains the aura of an undiscovered beach with its kilometre-long stretch of soft white sand surrounded by forested parkland and a low-key village. Water sports include standup paddling and snorkelling, while vendors sprinkled along the beachfront sell Thai takeaway snacks and fruit. Phuket’s top sights and leisure activities including golf, yacht charters, beach clubs and fine dining are just a short drive away.

VILLA LAYOUT

Rodnaya is a two-storey villa arranged on the hillside in two pavilions for optimal sea and sunset views. Entering the villa from the car park brings you into to the top floor of the large pavilion that houses an open-plan living and dining area, guest kitchen and chef’s kitchen. The master suite sits in a smaller pavilion connected to the living-dining pavilion via the kids’ playroom. Extending across the front of the top floor is the 18-metre pool and surrounding deck with panoramic views. A central staircase leads down to ground floor where the three guest bedrooms and media room are situated – all with sea-view balconies.

LIVING AREAS

Indoor Living
At the heart of Villa Rodnaya is an open-plan living and dining room that opens to the pool terrace; a place to gather and relax under the gorgeous arched roof. The living room’s soft sofas are positioned to take in the views, while the solid-wood dining table and its elegant red leather seats make every meal feel like a special occasion. A Bose audio system and built-in speakers both inside and out make it easy to set the mood. The modern guest kitchen and breakfast bar sit just behind the dining area, while the chef’s kitchen lies off to the side.

Adjacent to the living area is the colourful kids’ playroom with a good assortment of toys and games, while the media room downstairs offers more entertainment choices. 

Outdoor Living
With its 18-metre pearl-toned marble pool and spectacular sea views, Villa Rodnaya’s terrace is a photo-perfect spot. The pool is protected by a fence of transparent panels that keeps toddlers safe while not obstructing the tropical views. Enjoy alfresco meals in the shade of the poolside dining sala or soak up the sun on one of the sunbeds that line the pool.

BEDROOMS

Master Suite
Found in its own pavilion at the edge of the pool terrace and featuring a majestic peaked ceiling, this bedroom is a romantic and private escape that will be coveted by couples. Relax on the four-poster king-sized bed and enjoy the superb sea views, or simply slide open the doors to be the first in the pool. The ensuite bathroom is elegantly appointed in white marble with a double bathtub, while its proximity to the kids’ playroom, which includes a comfortable daybed, makes it possible to create a family suite.

Guest Bedrooms
Although these bedrooms are smaller than the master suite, each offers an ensuite bathroom and a balcony with sea views that will appeal to guests of all ages. All three bedrooms are furnished with king-sized beds and mirrored wardrobes.

STAFF

DINING

Thai cuisine is celebrated the world over for its flavourful dishes, and Villa Rodnaya is the perfect place to explore Thai gastronomic delights under the talented direction of the in-villa chef. Adventurous eaters, children, and those who crave their favourite home-cooked foods are all catered to, with meals at Rodnaya fully customised to each guest’s preference.

Find Thai food, set breakfasts and Western food in the villa’s suggestion menu, with an enticing selection of dishes including tom kha gai (delicious chicken soup made with coconut milk and fragrant galangal); gaeng phed ped yang (red curry with roasted duck); pla thod ta rod (crispy sea bass with five-flavour sauce), and the chef’s specialty Gaeng ka ree nue fak tong (beef tenderloin and pumpkin in Thai yellow curry).

The chef and kitchen team take care of all the grocery shopping, and they know exactly where to find the freshest and best quality ingredients. Provisions are charged at cost plus a 20% handling fee and 7% tax, and guests are requested to provide cash to cover groceries in advance. The staff will keep receipts for reference when settling the bills.

FAMILIES

The villa’s playroom is stocked with toys and games for air-conditioned fun, while the media room is a cosy place to gather for some cartoon or movie-watching sessions.

There’s no need to worry about travelling with cumbersome children’s equipment as the villa is well equipped with a baby cot, changing table, safety stair gate, high chair, baby bath facilities and toilet trainer seat. Other items may be sourced from local rental agencies for a small extra fee – just let us know your requirements when making your villa reservation. Likewise, if you’re needing a night out during your stay, a reliable babysitting service can be arranged (extra charges apply).

Rodnaya’s modern guest kitchen and private chef make it easy to ensure the young ones are well fed. Kids can select from the villa menu, and the chef will adjust ingredients where necessary to make them child-friendly. Thai favourites such as chicken satay, mango sticky rice and pad Thai noodles provide a great opportunity to discover new tastes.

Though families staying at Rodnaya have plenty to enjoy within the villa, the soft sands of nearby Nai Thon beckon for beach adventures. Spend the day running around barefoot and building sandcastles on this uncrowded beach, or stop by one of the beachside food stands for a fresh coconut and some grilled Thai snacks. Kid-friendly water sports including snorkelling and stand-up paddling are available at the beach.
