It all started a few years ago when two brothers fell in love with Bali. Over the years, the two brothers visited the “Island of the Gods” many times and each time stayed at different prestigious Villas. Their conclusion : build their own luxury Villa, one that would meet all their own requirements.

Villa Lumia Bali is located just few minutes from Ubud, nestled between a river and stunning rice fields spreading across the horizon (whenever nature permits it). The Villa Lumia is set on a 2,300 square meter parcel of beautiful land providing the perfect place to relax for your holidays.

The Villa Lumia’s 4 bedrooms (each with open sky bathrooms) are located around a century old traditional Joglo and can welcome up to 12 guests. A mezzanine can accommodate 2 guests which is generally a favorite for children.

The Villa offers an excellent mix of amenities with its 20 meters swimming pool, Jacuzzi, fitness center, billiard, TV Room, Etc. Villa Lumia offers more than 680 m² of living area!

ACCOMMODATION

Villa Lumia comprises of 4 air-conditioned bedrooms that all include:

- Walk-in dressing
- Huge semi-outdoor bathrooms with shower and bathtub
- Reading lamps
- Writing desk
- Bluetooth speakers
- Premium mattresses (Serta) and bed linens

Moreover, two of them have a mezzanine that can each welcome 2 additional people. A good option for parents who do want to keep an eye on their children.

That enables the whole property to comfortably host up to 12 people.

LIVING AREAS

The villa offers several space of common areas for group reunion: the century-old joglo, a structure that was especially brought over from Java will be where you eat.

But were you to fancy a dinner under the stars, or sun, our 60m2 terrace will become your first choice.

DINING AT VILLA LUMIA

Villa Lumia Bali offers a better dining experience than most restaurants in the area. The Chefs (Ketut and Komang) propose an extensive menu featuring traditional Indonesian cuisine, as well as, international dishes for a unique cultural experience and to accommodate everyone’s palate.

You can trust them on the selection of dishes to be served during lunch or dinner as they have been working with International guests for several years now. Should you have any special requests or dietary requirements please feel free to inform the chefs who will ensure to comply with your
wishes.

To get the best culinary experience, we recommend to speak with Ketut and Komang in advance so that they can do the shopping in a timely fashion during the day.

Food and most Drinks are charged on a cost basis plus 25% and will be added to our guest’s account and payable in total upon checkout.

If you prefer to do your own cooking, do not hesitate to make use of the kitchen facilities yourself and please let the staff know if you need help with your shopping during your stay!

Villa Lumia also includes a wine cellar that enables us to keep some foreign bottles at the right temperature for the wine connoisseurs. We will do our best to maintain some stock available (priced separately) but we advise guests to bring their own, from abroad, whenever possible.

Villa Lumia – Swimming Pool

Generous in size (20 meters long), its depth and length will enable swimmers to bag in laps. The swimming pool has a paddling pool for the youngest of guests. Its infinity structure will give you the feeling of swimming in the rice paddy.

In order to ensure the safety of our youngest guests, Villa Lumia’s swimming pool is also equipped with four wireless anti-drowning electronic devices that automatically sound an alarm when the wristband is immersed in the Swimming Pool, alerting you of potential danger.

Villa Lumia – The Fitness Center

Villa Lumia includes a Fitness Center fully furnished with the latest “commercial grade” equipments including:

STAFF & SERVICES

Bali is renowned for its exceptional natural beauty and exuberant tropical vegetation but without the beautiful Balinese people the experience would not be the same. They are indeed incredibly welcoming (very natural) and helpful. We are convinced that the Villa Lumia’s Balinese staff will make your stay with us even that more special.

The Villa Lumia has a dedicated team of 5 people looking after the wellbeing of the guests while remaining as discreet as possible.

Full Time Manager and Chefs

Ketut and his wife Komang had been looking after one of Ubud’s most famous villas for several years and this is where the owners met them. During your time at Villa Lumia they will coordinate the staff and the property to ensure you enjoy your stay at the villa. They are also a great source of information on the surrounding, the traditions Etc. It will be their pleasure to provide you some insight into the local culture. Both Ketut and Komang are excellent cooks and they will be able to prepare for you a great dining experience. You can trust their judgment or let them know what would make you happy and they will make sure your wishes come true.

Maitre d'Hotel

Ketut and Komang are assisted in their daily activities by one maitre d'hotel. Your maitre d'hotel will look after you throughout the day, serving food, snacks, beverages and will assist the Chefs at meal times. He will also attend to the daily cleaning of the Villa.

Gardener and Pool Maintenance

Villa Lumia has been built on a 2,300 square meters luxurious piece of land surrounded by stunning rice fields and a river. A gardener will attend to the beautiful, manicured landscape designed by Intan Kirana. The Gardener will also maintain the pool in the morning so that your poolside experience is simply a pleasure.

Security

Even though Ubud and the surrounding are extremely safe, the villa has security guards 24 hours a day working in shifts.

Yoga and Massage

Off-site or on-site. Fully trained staff can visit the villa upon request to provide you a range of massages and treatments. The Villa Lumia includes a beautiful dedicated space where the therapists will be able to perform traditional Balinese massage, Acupressure, foot therapy or any other reflexology treatment available on the island (extra fees apply).

Cooking with the Chefs

If you are enticed by the Indonesian culinary classics such as the delicious Pepes Ikan (fish in banana leaves), Nasi Goreng (Indonesian fried rice), Sate Ayam (Chicken Satay) or Nasi Campur (selection of local tapas), Ketut and Komang will be happy to show you some local recipes and tricks that would enable you to bring back home some Balinese cooking know-how. This is a complimentary service of Villa Lumia!

Gratuities

Prices are subject to 15% Government Tax and Service charge. Tipping remains at your own discretion but appreciated if you are satisfied with the service you received from the staff during your stay. Should you wish to leave a tip it is generally given on the last day.
