VILLA LAYOUT

Villa Katamalee sprawls over two levels to maximize on fabulous sea and mountain vistas. The entrance is an impressive extended deck surrounding the 12-metre infinity pool with panoramic views of its tropical surrounds. The living space is just a few steps away with concertina doors on two sides that can be opened up to create a huge, open-air living area. Access to all the rooms is through this main living room. To the left is a guest bedroom and a modern kitchen, whilst on the right is a separate area with dining and a sunset viewpoint. Steps lead down to the lower level with a cosy TV room and three other bedroom suites, including the master suite.

LIVING AREAS

Indoor Living
Villa Katamalee offers a lavish amount of indoor living space on the ground floor of the villa. A spacious living room faces the pool and enjoys stunning sea views. Here, concertina glass doors on either side open up to provide a breezy area for entertaining in style. At the heart of this family room, find two large and comfortable sofas clustered around a coffee table, providing a relaxing setting for reading or playing board games. Nearby, an authentic Thai daybed is the ideal place for an afternoon nap. This room, with its impressive Chinese and Cambodian artworks, connects to the modern kitchen where guests can prepare snacks or watch the chef work culinary magic. Stone steps lead down to the lower level that opens up to a homely room made for lounging, with easy sofas and a large flat-screen TV.

Outdoor Living
The highlight of Villa Katamalee is the 12-metre infinity pool surrounded by an extensive sunset deck furnished with six shaded loungers for some fun in the sun. This is a sensational spot for casual evenings with sundowners in hand, as you take in the magnificent sea views over the beautiful bays and lush green mountains. A compact terraced garden with a small pool features hanging daybeds, allowing you to relax in style with a good book in hand. A separate dining area seating 10 is shaded by a peaked ceiling and with fantastic views, whilst a viewing bench on the adjacent patio is ideal for a sunset watching.

BEDROOMS

Master Bedroom - Lower Level
With stunning sea views, this dreamy suite features dark wood floors and elegant furniture. Designed for privacy, the room is perfect for couples, with a super king bed and a secluded wooden deck. This room also features a large walk-through dressing area and ensuite bathroom with a rain shower.

Guest Bedroom 1 - Ground Level
Located on the ground floor, this guest room is a cosy retreat, tastefully decorated with a wardrobe and a super king-size, four-poster bed taking in the views of a small terraced garden with colourful displays of orchids. Wooden floor , while a selection of reading material and a 50-inch TV are sure to keep the young ones entertained. The ensuite bathroom offers a separate contemporary rain shower.

Guest Bedroom 2 - Lower Level
An elegant guest bedroom with a bamboo-framed super king bed and tantalising views of the mountains, Kata Noi Bay and the Andaman Sea beyond. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors on three sides allow plenty of light to flow through. Or you could step out onto the private wooden deck furnished with loungers if you wish to soak some sun and get a tan. It has plenty of wardrobe space as well as a dressing area, and an ensuite bathroom with a separate rain shower and double vanity.

Guest Bedroom 3 - Lower Level
This airy room features twin beds that can be easily converted into a double if required. Fantastic views of the headland beyond the turquoise sea and bright arrangements of bougainvillaea can be enjoyed from the sun loungers on the private sundeck, accessed by sliding patio doors. Tastefully decorated with a built-in wardrobe, the room’s ensuite bathroom has a separate rain shower.

Katamanda welcomes guests of all ages. While families will appreciate having private, secure spaces within their spacious villas, young kids will love exploring and playing in the landscaped gardens. Most villas have private pools with fantastic views over the bay, and there is also a large swimming pool for your use at the Estate Clubhouse. Play a game of tennis with your group at the court in the clubhouse which is lined with Limonta artificial turf, an exceptionally high-quality turf found in world-class courts which bounces the ball like a real grass court. Or else you could keep in shape by working out in the fitness centre, available for your use at no extra charge.

Every villa is unique when it comes to decor and facilities, but each has flat-screen TVs and sound systems, some also offering books and games. Flexibility in sleeping arrangements make Katamanda villas especially suitable for families. A variety of bedroom setups are on offer, with kings or doubles for couples, twin rooms suitable for children, and sofa beds that can accommodate extra guests (extra charge).

A few villas have the added feature of an elevator connecting the various levels, making life easier for those with limited mobility. Highchairs and baby cots, along with other children’s equipment, can be hired from reputable local agencies if required.

Katamanda has some of the best Thai chefs in Phuket, who are happy to customise meals or snacks to suit children’s tastes. The staff can also organise childcare or full-time babysitters for a modest extra charge, when you wish for some adult time.
