Villa Amanzi

Villa Amanzi is a lavish hillside haven with fabulous views over Kata Noi Beach. Six ensuite bedrooms, friendly staff and plush indoor and outdoor living areas make it an ideal holiday escape for families or groups.

Amanzi is the Zulu word for water, an element whose restorative properties prevail within and around the villa: cool down in the 15-metre infinity-edge pool, enjoy a soothing massage to the sound of ocean waves or take a refreshing soak in the bathtub of the two master suites. The cool tranquillity is further enhanced by the trickling stone waterfall feature and koi-pond garden to the rear of the villa’s living and dining room.

A holiday at Villa Amanzi could be spent in complete peace simply lounging on the comfortably furnished terrace, indulging in some in-villa spa treatments, or taking a morning stroll along the soft sands of Kata Noi Beach, a mere 10-minute walk away. The villa’s top-notch entertainment system, modern kitchen, barbecue sala and glorious setting make it a charming venue for a getaway with friends too. Sports enthusiasts can play table tennis or pool within the villa, visit the estate clubhouse for its tennis court and fitness centre, or book a round at one of Phuket’s top golf courses.

Villa Amanzi allows convenience to seniors and those who are mobility challenged, with a lift connecting the two main floors. Flexible bed configurations, and a good selection of kids’ equipment make it a hit with large families. The ultra-private downstairs bedroom suite is attached to a TV lounge room with a rollaway sofa bed, while a cosy room on the top floor could serve as a multi-purpose room for massages or as a playroom for kids.

Among Villa Amanzi’s staff is a charming and knowledgeable English-speaking manager, a housekeeping and service team, and 24-hour estate security. Meals chosen from a menu of mainly Thai dishes are prepared by your private chef, while more dining and leisure choices are just a short distance away at Kata Noi and Kata beaches.

VILLA LAYOUT

Spread over three levels, with spacious outdoor living areas and a pool extending from the middle level, Villa Amanzi is designed to maximise on the sea views. The villa’s entrance is on the top floor, along with a covered parking space, foyer, first master suite and two guest bedrooms. Descending via the lift or the wide staircase brings you to the large living and dining rooms that open onto the pool terrace and barbecue sala. The second master suite and another guest bedroom are also on this floor, while the fourth guest bedroom and adjacent TV lounge are found on the lower floor. Another staircase from the dining area leads down to the kitchen.

LIVING AREAS

Indoor Living
Villa Amanzi’s generous living spaces were built for entertaining. An open-plan living and dining room with a fully equipped granite bar, study desk and a TV / Bose entertainment system take up most of the villa’s middle level. Elegant sofas are orientated to optimise sea views to the front and the waterfall feature to the rear. A dining table for 10 is set at the far end of the space, where stairs lead down to the kitchen. The huge, bright kitchen is fitted with modern appliances and a set of floor-to-ceiling windows fold open to welcome the sea breezes. This makes a lovely spot for breakfast and to observe the chef at work.

On the villa’s lower floor is a TV lounge (adjacent to a bedroom suite) that opens to a sea-view balcony and walled garden, while another room on the top floor serves as a nanny’s bedroom or playroom.

Outdoor Living
With outdoor speakers and plenty of space to unwind, Villa Amanzi’s pool terrace, 15m infinity pool and barbecue sala – all with stunning views over Kata Noi Beach – make an exceptional hub for fun and relaxation. The fan-cooled sala lies just a few steps up from pool level and is perfect for sunset cocktails and evening grills, with a professional barbecue, dining table for 10, pool table and comfy sofas. More sofas are strewn along the shaded terrace that runs the length of the pool, while an open spa room and sauna face the sala.

BEDROOMS

Villa Amanzi’s six air-conditioned bedrooms offer flexibility and comfort to groups and family guests. All have ensuite bathrooms, and all but one come with sea views. The two master suites and one guest bedroom have TV entertainment systems, while the lower-floor guest bedroom has a well-equipped TV lounge attached.

Master Suite 1
On the top floor of the villa, this king-bedded master suite is a private retreat with a spectacular outlook. A loveseat at the foot of the bed offers more great views while floor-to-ceiling glass doors fold open to the furnished terrace with two all-weather lounge chairs and spa bed. A huge bathtub adds a touch of luxury to the large ensuite bathroom.

Master Suite 2
Located on the middle floor, this king-bedded suite is ideal for guests who will enjoy being close to the villa’s main entertainment areas. Superb views unfold beyond the floor-to-ceiling windows along the front of the bedroom, and in the decadent ensuite bathroom there’s alcove seating overlooking the garden and a freestanding tub for relaxing soaks.

Guest Suites 3 & 4
These two top-floor bedrooms each offer fantastic views from the shared sun deck that spans their front. Both rooms have king-size beds and ensuite bathrooms with showers.

Guest Suite 5
The only twin-bedded bedroom in the villa, this garden-view suite with a TV and DVD player lies to the rear of the middle floor. The twin beds convert to a king-size bed if preferred. Its ensuite bathroom opens to a koi pond garden, while glass doors in the bedroom open to a garden patio.

Guest Suite 6 / TV Room
This lower-floor bedroom suite, with attached TV lounge, is perfect for a couple or small family seeking some added privacy. The bedroom has a balcony with partial sea views and is furnished with a king-size bed. The ensuite bathroom is fitted with a double vanity and shower. In the TV room, which opens to a balcony and a side garden, is a rollaway sofa bed, well-stocked bookshelves and a modern entertainment system. Sofa suites and Thai-style floor cushions provide added comforts.

Multi-Purpose Room
On the top-floor, near the first master suite, this room with a garden-view balcony is a cosy spot for many activities. Massage beds can be setup to make a private spa room or kids can be kept entertained with a selection of toys and games. Additionally, extra beds, on extra charge, can be arranged for extra sleeping spaces.

FOR FAMILIES

Villa Amanzi is a welcoming holiday home for guests of all ages. Families will appreciate the array of indoor and outdoor spaces as well as facilities and amenities available to them. The private pool, with its great views over the bay, is bound to be a hit with everyone, and the pool table, table tennis and gardens provide additional fun outside. Indoors, families have a choice of two media rooms with large-screen TVs and fabulous sound systems while three bedrooms are also equipped with TV entertainment. Families are also welcome to use the estate’s clubhouse pool, tennis court and fitness centre for no extra charge.

Flexibility in sleeping arrangements is also offered with a separate multi-purpose room that can be setup to sleep a nanny or kids, and a rollout sofabed in the TV lounge attached to the lower-floor bedroom. A lift connecting the top two floors makes Amanzi easy to navigate for those with limited mobility. The villa is also equipped with two high chairs and a baby cot. Other kids’ equipment is available to hire from reputable local agencies.

Villa Amanzi’s full-time chef and spacious, modern kitchen makes family dining easy, and meals or snacks can always be customised to suit children’s tastes. Amanzi’s staff is on hand to make guests of all ages feel welcome, and young guests will undoubtedly be showered with care and attention. A full-time babysitting service is available for a modest extra charge.
