Selong Selo - Villa 7 Bedrooms

Selong Selo’s flagship seven-bedroom villa is sprawled over the hillside and consists of one main residence and two self-contained studio units. The villa integrates traditional elements with modern sensibilities and has three infinity pools. With daily housekeeping, shuttle service and in-villa dining, a holiday in these villas in Selong Belanak is all about being pampered. It may be rented as a whole, or as a five-bedroom home, with the two studios being rented out separately. Large glass sliding doors offer spellbinding ocean views. The layout is designed for groups of families with children, with lawned terraces, bunk beds and hammocks.

LIVING AREAS

Indoor Living

A long wooden ten-seater dining table stretches across the centre of the living room. On the right, sofas are spread out in front of a flat-screen television for congregating. An open-plan contemporary kitchen takes up the left corner of the room, complete with a breakfast bar and four bar stools. Floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding glass doors allow the outdoors in.

Outdoor Living

With three infinity pools, the seven-bedroom villa is all about outdoor living. Sunken bar stools at one end of the main lap pool are strategically placed to allow you to soak in the sea views as you sip on refreshing beverages. On the left, a wooden patio with cushioned sofas spills out from the kitchen, perfect for occasions when you want to cook something and enjoy it with your group outdoors. On the right of the pool, six sun loungers allow sunbathing and a lawned terrace is ideal for kicking a ball around. Enjoy barbecues on the patio with a separate barbecue corner. Hidden away in an alcove, a wonderful patio with hammocks cradles the rightmost corner of the villa, for when you want to hide away and cocoon yourself in silence.

BEDROOMS

The seven-bedroom bespoke villa is the crowning glory of Selong Selo. It consists of a five-bedroom main residence and two adjoining self-contained one-bedroom studios. The villa can be rented in its seven-bedroom entirety or as a five bedroom home, with the two studios being rented out separately.

Master Bedroom 1

The master bedroom 1 is located at entry level, a large space with a screened off ensuite bathroom and a private patio to enjoy the gorgeous views. A romantic four-poster bed takes centre stage here, with separate sofa seating in front of the flat-screen television. The ensuite bathroom has a glass-ceiling to allow natural light to flood in, a rain shower as well as a standing-bathtub on a wooden deck.

Master Bedroom 2

The second master bedroom is down the staircase, on the same level as the living areas. The room has a king-bed and direct access to the pool outside, allowing you to dip your toes in the water. On the right, sliding glass doors lead to a wooden deck with hammocks, the ultimate in relaxation. The ensuite bathroom has twin stone sinks and a rain shower.

Guest Bedrooms 3 & 4

Two guest bedrooms are located at the entry level, connected by a narrow terrace. Both the rooms have sliding glass doors that open up onto the terrace. Double beds in the room can be configured as twins, if required.

Children's Room

A delight for multigenerational families, the children’s room is also at the entry level. Five bunk beds and two trundles can accommodate up to seven kids comfortably. The room has a playful aura, with bean bags thrown around and plenty of storage. An ensuite bathroom has provision for three simultaneous rain showers, for when the little tots don’t mind a group shower.

Studio Units 6 & 7

Two self-contained studio units are located just off the main residence, one level up along the hillside. The units are identical and perfect for guests without children who prefer a little oasis of calm. Each unit has a double bed that can be converted into twins and a daybed overlooking a private pool. The ensuite bathroom has a rainshower and twin vanities.Each studio may also be rented separately, especially by couples or two friends looking for a weekend getaway.

For large groups or families travelling with an entourage, this villa converts into a seven-bedroom villa over two levels; perfect to accommodate the group in the main villa, whereas the upper villas can be enjoyed by couples allocated with their own space.

Selong Selo Resort and Residences is a great venue for weddings and corporate events. With plenty of accommodation, excellent facilities and multiple dining options; it is the ideal location for making lasting memories.

All villas have the option of self-catering, however Aura, the in-house restaurant and bar serves a delightful array of western and Indonesian fare. The white sandy beach of Selong Belanak is a favourite with surfers and accessible by complimentary shuttle at select times. Further afield, Kuta offers an array of dining options including vegetarian, Moroccan and Australian fare.

DINING

Each Selong Selo villa is self-catering and the two to seven-bedroom villas all have fully equipped kitchens for you to stir up your family’s favourite dishes. Concierge services can help with provisioning and get fresh produce and groceries delivered to your doorstep. However, you’re on vacation, and we are cognizant of that. If you just want to put your feet up and relax, you have the option of ordering room service wherein delicious fare will be delivered to your villa and you can enjoy it while watching the latest blockbuster (room service fee applies). Options include western classics, hand-tossed pizzas and local specialities like Nasi Goreng.

The estate’s restaurant, Aura Lounge and Bar, enjoys prime location on the edge of a cliff, with stunning views of the sea. The semi-alfresco pavilion is best enjoyed in the evenings, when a gentle sea breeze brushes by. Sit by the lawned gardens and gaze at the sky lit up with sunset hues. It is also a great place for sunset cocktails with your entire group.

For an indulgent experience, we can arrange for a chef to prepare a decadent meal for you in your own villa (extra charge). A barbecue if you prefer it, or a multi-course dinner, can all be arranged if requested in advance. With dining options aplenty, Selong Selo is great for long stays and vacations that seem to linger on forever.

FAMILIES

A villa holiday in Selong Selo comes with the added benefit of being stress-free for parents of young children. With plenty of space for the kids to run around, they will keep themselves entertained. Some of the villas have lawned gardens, others trampolines or hammocks.

The entire family will enjoy cooling off in the private infinity pool within your villa. You may find the patio to be the area where you all converge at various times in the day, with sunbeds aplenty and the tropical sun to give you that perfect tan.

Flat-screen televisions offer entertainment and some villas have additional facilities like a billiards table, media room or gymnasium to keep the young adults occupied. You can also request for board games for the kids or even to play as a family.

Child-minding services and babysitting can be arranged at extra charge, up to 10pm, should you want some me-time or a visit to the spa without having to worry about the kids.

The dining menu has been created with kids in mind, with popular favourites like fish and chips, burgers, pastas and delicious hand-tossed pizzas. If you wish to cook your children’s favourite dishes, you can do so in the villa’s fully equipped kitchen, which is especially useful for quick bites such as sandwiches and stir fries.

With the kids club open for guests' use and the safe, kid-friendly Selong Belanak Beach in the vicinity, Selong Selo is the perfect family getaway.

CLUB COCONUT

Selong Selo is great for families with kids and can be the perfect choice for relaxing family vacations. Unlike the activity-filled frenzy of other destinations, Lombok offers a more relaxed pace, and compels guests of all ages to slow down and enjoy being surrounded by nature and its wonders.

Your stay at Selong Selo Resort and Residences is incomplete without your children seeking out Club Coconut. As an antidote to the iPad era, this unique kids club has been designed to immerse children aged 4-12 into the natural local environment and sensitize them to sustainability and community practices. Daily programs and hourly activities are conceptualised around the sustainable and organic practices used in the daily operations of the resort.

Facilities at Club Coconut include a cool movie room, secure indoor and outdoor play areas, an arts and crafts nook, and a stilts-style cubby house (built entirely from recycled wood and building offcuts from the estate’s construction site) with a sandpit and climbing net.
