Four glorious residences – two 4-bedroom, one 3-bedroom and a 1-bedroom villa – make up the Dea Villas estate, an exclusive enclave five minutes from Berawa Beach and only 15 minutes from the buzz of Seminyak. Each is secure in its own garden with pool and outdoor pergola or balé, and enjoys shared gym, spa, and children’s playground facilities. Each has its own character and style, from ultra-contemporary to whimsical heritage chic, enriched with hi-tech facilities including iPod docks and home theatre systems. Best of all, they can be rented separately or together, meaning Dea Villas can accommodate guests in many combinations, from a honeymooner couple to two families in adjoining villas, right up to 30+ residential guests for a wedding celebration.

Welcome to Dea Villas – four tropical garden villas in rural Berawa close to Canggu. A sense of space sets this exclusive enclave apart; each villa comprises living and bedroom pavilions set in its own private gardens with swimming pool, sun deck, lotus ponds and myriad quiet corners.

Four-bedroom Villa Sarasvati is contemporary in design and spread over two floors, while the three-bedroom Amy and four-bedroom Sati are inspired by Indonesia’s cultural heritage, with accommodation spread across a series of joglos (traditional teakwood homes). Romantic Villa Radha is the smallest of the four villas; a rustic one-bedroom antique gladak (cottage) rising on stilts above a lotus pond. All four have stunning interiors full of handsome furniture and a fascinating collection of antiques and artefacts from Southeast Asia, China and Taiwan.

As the four villas can be rented separately or together in many different configurations, Dea Villas is perfect for everyone from couples seeking a romantic retreat, to multiple families holidaying together, right up to large groups of friends requiring all 12 bedrooms. And whether guests seek social space or solitude, they’ll never tire of the choices Dea provides.

24-hour butler service assures guests are looked after well, and with the discretion and sensitivity of true hospitality professionals. Among the 29-strong staff that serves the villas are three chefs, ready to whip up gourmet meals from a well-priced menu of local and international dishes.

Kids will surely gravitate to the playground where the swings, slides, sandpit and Wendy house will keep them occupied while parents recline in the shaded comfort of the nearby balé. Adults get to play too: in the air-conditioned gym, at Dea Spa with twin massage beds and traditional sauna, or at the Dea Boutique.

For entertainment beyond the villa, guests may choose to cycle through the rice fields on the villa bikes, spend time at Berawa Beach less than a kilometre away, head for the boutiques and bars of Seminyak, or explore Bali’s scenic beauty further afield.

THE VILLAS

Dea Villas offers an unparalleled level of flexibility for parties that require more privacy or space to spread out. While each of the four villas enjoy their own private grounds, they can also be rented together in many different configurations, offering everything from the intimacy of one bedroom to all 12 bedrooms, accommodating from one couple up to 24 guests (32 if the ‘daybeds’ in the four-bedroom villas’ bedrooms are also used.)

STAFF

One of the greatest advantages of staying in a villa is the personalised service provided by dedicated staff. Dea Villas’ large team of staff has been professionally trained and will do their utmost to please with their warm and friendly Balinese hospitality.

Villa Manager
The villa manager is responsible for the overall operation of the villas, including staffing and guest satisfaction. He will coordinate your requirements with the chefs and other staff, and concierge any special requests using his comprehensive list of local contacts. The manager is assisted by two villa supervisors.

Chefs
The head chef and his team will happily prepare Western, Asian, and children’s dishes from the villas’ priced menu, and can cater for special requests and dietary requirements. The kitchen operates from 7am till 11pm in two staff shifts.

Butlers
Dea Villas’ butlers are dedicated to 5-star service, ensuring guests have whatever they need. They serve snacks, meals and beverages throughout the day, and look after daily housekeeping – cleaning rooms with discretion according to the schedule of the guest. A butler is on call 24 hours.

Security guards
A team of guards provides 24-hour security throughout the estate.

Maintenance
Two engineers look after all maintenance issues at Dea Villas.

Gardeners
The villas’ immaculate gardens are well tended by a team of gardeners and pool attendants.

Driver
A driver and car (seating up to 7 passengers) is available at a special rate of US$35++ for up to 8 hours a day (excluding petrol).

FOR FAMILIES

The family friendly advantages of a villa holiday are many, including access to your own private facilities and the freedom to use them whenever you want. Knowing that the kids can run around happily, independently and safely, without you having to worry about other guests, is a real plus – and one that means parents are certain to have a more relaxed holiday too.

With the exception of the one-bedroom Villa Radha, all the Dea Villas are great for families – each has at least one twin-bedded room that’s perfect for kids, and younger family members will love the shared playground complete with swings, slides, sandpit and Wendy house. (Parents can keep an eye from the shade of the balé).

The team of friendly staff at Dea Villas will make children feel as welcome as adults, and having these willing helpers on hand gives guests plenty of flexibility and freedom to do their own exploring beyond the villa grounds (full-time babysitting incurs a small extra cost).

SPA & GYM

Guests of the four Dea villas have exclusive access to Dea Spa – a beautiful light-filled joglo-style pavilion discreetly tucked away behind the gym and featuring a double massage room, sauna and outdoor treatment area with Whirlpool-style bathtub.

Spa therapies are carried out by fully trained therapists available at 30 minutes’ notice, between 7am and 10pm daily (extra charges will apply).

WEDDINGS & EVENTS

Dea Villas is a very popular event venue, with the flexibility to rent up to four villas and 12 bedrooms across the estate. The charming poolside and shaded garden at Villa Saraswati and the performance space at the heart of Villa Sati are ideal settings for intimate weddings and other special celebrations, and the villas’ location – amongst the rice terraces of rural Bali, yet only a kilometre from the beach and five kilometres from buzzing Seminyak, is hard to beat.
